The duo confirmed the split on wednesday in a statement from Big Sean's representative
The statement read, "After careful thought and
much consideration, Sean has made the difficult
decision to call the wedding off."
The split leaves many wondering
why a couple that started off moving so fast would
suddenly slam on the brakes.
Big Sean has a reputation as a relentless player -
even by rapper standards - so when the news first
broke, many naturally assumed that Sean had
cheated on Naya.
Some sources close to the couple say Sean admitted
his infidelities when he couldn't stand the guilt any
longer.
An insider close to Sean says the
engagement was "too much too soon."
Sean
wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his
hope that they can continue to work through their
issues privately. We will not be commenting again
on this matter."
