temporarily suspended following a fire incident
which affected the tower, the Nigerian Airspace
Management Agency (NAMA) said in a statement.
According to a statement the agency had already
issued a notice informing the operating airlines locally and across the globe of the development.
NAMA Managing Director, Ibrahim Abdulsalam, had
directed the immediate deployment of the agency's
mobile tower currently in Nnamdi Azikiwe
International Airport, Abuja to Kaduna.
The statement said the measure was meant to ensure resumption of normal services at Kaduna
airport by sunset on Monday.
"All the personnel on duty were safely evacuated.
"
There is no cause for alarm as we are on top of the
situation, our mobile tower is capable of handling
normal traffic as it is well equipped with necessary ATC console to do that," the statement said.
