OMG!! Katy Perry launches her record label

As if she doesn't have enough going on, Katy Perry announced that she's been hiding a special project up her sleeve.

The "Roar" singer launched her brand new record label Metamorphosis Music on Tuesday (June 16) via a post on Twitter.

"I am so ECSTATIC to finally announce my NEW label Metamorphosis Music & my first signing, the incredibly talented & soulful FERRAS!" the 29-year-
old posted.

The project is a joint venture with her current record label, Capitol Records.

Her first act with the label was signing singer Ferras, who opened up for Katy's Pristmatic World Tour.

"Her instincts are really on point," Ferras said in a release about Perry's production work. "She is very blunt and doesn't sugar-coat things, which I appreciate.

Also, she gave me the freedom to do what I wanted musically and was a natural partner."
