Driver dead in car crash that split vehicle

JENNINGS COUNTY, Indianapolis - An Indiana man is dead after being involved in a serious crash in Southern Indiana.
Indiana State Police (ISP) said just after 4 p.m. Thursday, a man in a Toyota Prius was facing east on US Highway 50 at the new State Road 750 bypass in Jennings County, and was attempting to make a left turn.
ISP said the driver proceeded into the intersection without yielding to a man dr
iving a Ford truck hauling a 25-foot flatbed trailer.

The Ford truck hit the Toyota, then continued in the westbound lane where it also hit a Buick driven by Gregory E. Green, 52, of North Vernon, Ind.
The force of the impact on the Buick split the car in half and killed Green, who was pronounced dead by EMS crews when they arrived.
The other two drivers involved received only minor injuries, ISP said. Police continue to investigate the crash.
