President Jonathan to visit chibok today

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan will on Friday visit the northeastern village from where more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted a month ago by Islamist rebel group Boko Haram, senior government officials told Reuters News Agency.

It will be the presidents first visit to Chibok, North Eastern Part of Nigeria and the domain of the Boko Haram terrorists who have been ravaging that part of the country.

Chibok has been in the eye of the storm following the abduction of the school girls and the there have been growing international effort to rescue the girls, since
they were abducted.

Reuters reports that the official who spoke to newsmen about the visit of the president to the town said he will also travel to Paris, France, for a regional security summit where Boko Haram will be discussed.
