Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has again
assured Nigerians that the girls abducted from the
secondary school in Chibok, Borno State, will be
rescued.
He gave the assurance at the May Day celebration at
 Eagle Square in Abuja.
The president added that his administration was
determined to end the Boko Haram insurgency and
all other forms of insecurity.
He again vowed that the perpetrators of Nyanya
Bus Terminal bombing in the Federal Capital would
be sought and punished in accordance with the law.
Jonathan said that the security strategies meant to
curb the insurgents were constantly being
reviewed in order to fore stall the plans of the
 terrorists to frustrate the government.
He urged Nigerians to cooperate with security agencies to frustrate the terrorist sect.
"The government is constantly reviewing and
upgrading mechanisms to curb this mindless act
and together with the cooperation of our citizens,
we shall triumph over all this evil that wants to
debase our humanity or obstruct our progress as a nation.
Those who want to re-define our country to be
seen as a country of chaos will never succeed."
"We must find our missing girls and for this act of
terror in Nyanya that led to the loss of lives of our
people, the perpetrators must be brought to book," said Jonathan.
