Eminem reconciles with Mum

Rapper Eminem has documented the rocky
relationship with his mother Debbie Mathers
throughout most of his career.

On songs like "Cleaning Out My Closet," and "My Mom" the
Detroit MC lambasted his mother for offenses real and imagined.

In 1999, Debbie even filed
a $10 million lawsuit against Eminem, accusing him of slander and settled for $25,000 in 2001.

She also published a book, "My Son Marshall,
My Son Eminem," to offer her side of the
story.

However, in the new video for
"Headlights," director Spike Lee helps Eminem make amends for the years of tension.

Shot mostly from the first-person perspective of Eminem's mother the four-minute video
explores the troubled relationship between the
rapper and his mom and eventually finds the
two reconnecting after years of fighting.

"Cause to this day we remain estranged and I hate it though, cause you ain't even get to witness your grand babies grow , " he raps. "But I'm sorry momma for 'Cleaning Out My Closet,'
at the time I was angry , rightfully, maybe so,
never meant that far to take it though… "

Headlights is the second video from Eminem's
latest album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2,"
which debuted at number 1 on Billboard's Top
200 last November.
