Government of Usmanu Danfodiyo University,
Sokoto has suspended the SUG president Usman
Musa Maizare and his secretary General, Adamu Aliyu
Shuaibu for soliciting for funds for an unknown
project without the knowledge of the other members.
This however, has attracted opposition from the
legislative arm of the union who demanded that the
President and the Secretary General be reinstated
and apology tendered and any official entitlements
and privileges accrued to them within the
suspension be given; stating that the executive arm has known constitutional right to give such
suspension order.
The president while admitting to the allegations said
he was not aware of the constitutional provisions in
that regard.
