7 cops and a civillian killed

Suspected gunmen, in the early hours of
Wednesday, attacked a police station, Sharia court
and a bank in Gwaram local government area of
Jigawa state, killing seven policemen and one
civilian in the process.

Policemen on duty exchanged fire with the
suspected terrorists for hours during the attack. The Assistant Inspector General of Police of zone 1
Kano, Tambari Yabo confirmed the incident to
reporters in Dutse, saying the suspected terrorists
numbering about 200 came on motorcycles and
cars at exactly 1.00am.


His words:-"It was unfortunate for this sad and
unfortunate attack, we lost seven of our men and
one civilian during the attack".
